And we are having a “blessing of the animals” service, so please PLEASE send me photos of your pets and of animals important to you – all kinds of animals! (And you better send me photos, otherwise, you are going to see a lot of pictures of our cats!)
And then next Sunday, September 13th, you are invited to an Outdoor Service at 10:00. Directions and details to follow.
Let us keep all school teachers and support staff and administrators and bus drivers and students and parents in our prayers this coming week. “Back to school” is always an emotional time, and this year . . . well we all need to recognize how hard it is this year – for those who are attending school or doing remote learning or are homeschooling – for everyone let us pray for wisdom and patience, safety and health, learning and growth.
May your faith be greater than your fear today and each day to come.
“See” you on Sunday – In the greatest of hope – Lucia
Next Sunday, September 6th , we will share Holy Communion. Please prepare a slice or small loaf of bread, corn tortilla, or rice cake to share and a cup or small cups of juice — perhaps grape or cranberry — or wine, with or without alcohol. Consider setting up a worship space for yourself with a candle and flowers, put out your bread on a special plate or your juice in a special cup. Or simply use what is available as Jesus so often used the ordinary to make it extraordinary. I look forward to seeing you at the table!
