Old Business: Recent Webinar re reopening of churches. Connie reported. Many ideas have been circulated but overall recommendations are still being developed. Arnie : air circulation will be a very critical consideration. Jane suggested that some form of distance participation (zoom) may still be necessary for compromised individuals. An idea for an outdoor service was discussed…no conclusion. The committee will meet again next week to consider this. Jon reported that some local churches are holding services with social distancing and limiting numbers. Q..Tom is there a concensus about re-opening…only after more study..each church situation will be different. Cindy…expessed hope that people without a computer can be assisted to join in.
Stewardship, Jon has researched and is contacting companies for donations. Q…timeline? Some in July, some later, some on an as needed basis.
Discussions and ideas re Roast Beef Suppers are being discussed.
New Business: Mission and Outreach…discussed the idea of placing lawn signs re Black Lives Matter and other social justice concerns. Concensus… a good idea to affirm multiple calls for justice and beliefs. Should be easy to read. There was no disagreement. Lucia will acquire some examples.
Announcements: Thanks to Martha for providing flowers for the church service.
